Signator Builds 2821 Using Annuity Intelligence Report
Signator Investors, Inc., John Hancock’s broker/dealer affiliate, has made the side-by-side comparison report a key element of its 1035 exchange process. We recently spoke to Kara Williams of Signator to learn more about how they are using the tool.
Advanced Sales How Are You Using The AI Report?
Williams Advisors use it for education, research and product selection. We urge them to provide a hardcopy with the application to the OSJ principal as evidence that the most suitable product was selected. It gives a snapshot of what was sold. And we’ve made the AI Report a required part of the VA replacement process.

Williams The Annuity Intelligence Report is a resource for them during the replacement process. We require reps to run a side-by-side comparison of the old contract and new contract. Advisors use it to fill in the comparison section of our client profile form, which is used to justify the switch and evaluate suitability.

Williams Advisors are gaining efficiency and productivity, and improving accuracy. It’s also helping managing partners. They review the switch for fees, and they don’t have to pull up prospectuses.

Williams Our replacement unit does a second level review. The AI Report is more of a resource for them, especially for historical contracts. It was difficult for them and they couldn’t get the information they needed. The AI Report offers info on historical contracts.

Williams This tool is a resource. I’ve gotten no negative feedback from field. They’re getting lots of info and it’s proven very helpful.
